Watermaster evolved out of the growing necessity to streamline battery maintenance in the demanding mining and heavy industrial environments in South Africa. This continued in the materials handling facilities in the USA where over a period of more than 20 years it proved to be a highly versatile and irreproachable water delivery system.

This experience continues to highlight that only avoidance of mechanical complexity – in short, simplicity – can lead users directly onto the high road for optimal convenience and greatest reliability in single point battery watering.

Hence we follow a “simple is better” philosophy in our product design.

The device used to deliver water efficiently to each individual cell is the worldwide patented Watermaster vent cap. It delivers the correct amount of water to each cell without using any moving parts. Besides the widely used 35mm DIN push-in cap, Watermaster also offers speciality vent caps with a full range of fittings to satisfy any traction battery application.

The vent cap is highly resilient and its rugged construction stands up well to the arduous handling in a rough environment where it usually finds itself. For this reason it is very suitable for all types of materials handling applications such as fork-lift and pallet trucks; airport vehicles; golf carts; elevating platforms; locomotives etc etc.

Its high grade injection moulded polyethylene/ polypropylene construction can withstand temperatures of -40ºC, therefore posing no problems in freezer warehouses.
